Anyone know how to pull odometer data from the transmission or BDC modules on a Ferrari 458 ?
I can pull the odometer data from the ECU but there’s no obvious field in the Transmission module and the youcanic tablet can’t even connect to the BDC
Aparently mileage data is only stored on the ECU and instrument cluster.
Apart from this the TCU life timer gives a good data point to cross reference the mileage against. Unfortunately the TCU life timer ticks whenever the ignition is on (even engine off the timer ticks up) but it’s not THAT big a deal. If a car has 2000 hrs of lifetime on this counter but 5000 miles that would be very suspicious.
