Hi sir, To change the rear brakes on your R230 SL 550, loosen the lug nuts, lift the car, and remove the wheel. Unbolt the caliper (13mm and 15mm tools) and support it to avoid straining the brake hose. Remove the old pads and compress the caliper piston with a C-clamp or brake tool. Install the new pads, apply brake grease to the backs, and replace the brake wear sensor if needed. Reinstall the caliper, torque the bolts, and put the wheel back on. Pump the brake pedal to seat the pads and reset the brake system with a YouCanic Scanner if necessary.
