2001 Dodge OBD2 CCD adapter

I’m currently trying to read ABS codes on a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 and I get the error “please select chrysler (CCD) connector”. I’m aware that Dodge didn’t use standard pinouts in 2001 and so a lot of scanners need an adapter. My question is does anyone know if the youcanic software automatically remaps the inputs or if I need to use an adapter?

The 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 uses the Chrysler CCD bus for ABS, which does not use standard OBD-II pins. The YOUCANIC scanner does not automatically remap the CCD pin layout, so you will need the proper Chrysler CCD adapter to read ABS codes on this model. Engine codes will read normally, but ABS will not communicate without the adapter.
